Free influenza immunisation for staff and students Help protect yourself and those around you by coming along to one of three Murdoch Wellness Days. Murdoch University's Department of Safety, Health and Wellbeing, Health: Medical Service and the Discipline of Nursing are providing three on campus wellness collaboration days. Our aim is to promote health and illness prevention to Murdoch staff and students by offering the following free of charge: Influenza immunisations Blood pressure tests Diabetes tests, including blood glucose tests Cholesterol and weight checks The wellness days have been scheduled to occur in May as per advice from the Department of Health, Communicable Disease Control. Influenza circulation in WA is usually highest between July and October each year and optimal protection against influenza occurs within the first 3-4 months following vaccination. Our May wellness days will ensure you recieve optimal protection for the upcoming influenza season and provide an opportunity for a general health and wellbeing check to see you through the winter months.
