(Updated 15 September)

Due to low registrations, the nurse-led flu clinic will not be taking place at our Mandurah campus on 16 September. The Medical Service has been in touch with those staff and students who did register to discuss alternate arrangements.

Appointments to receive your free flu vaccination are available through the Murdoch Medical Service. Bookings can be made online. Please select ‘influenza vaccine’ as the reason for your appointment.

Vaccine appointments take five minutes (with a 15 minute post-vaccination monitoring period), are bulk billed and the vaccine is free.

On the day of your appointment, please bring your Medicare card and wear clothing that has easy access to your arm. If you happen to be unwell and are unable to attend, please call (08) 9360 2293 to make alternative arrangements.

Advice on influenza vaccines and COVID-19 vaccinations

The Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (ATAGI) does not recommend scheduling and administering an influenza vaccine and a COVID-19 vaccine on the same day. An interval of at least seven days between a dose of the influenza vaccine and a dose of COVID-19 vaccine is advised.

For more information about the influenza vaccine, visit the HealthyWA website.
