On Wednesday, 22 September as part of their Wheel LIFE program, ReboundWA will run four guided ‘Come & Try’ sessions in the Murdoch Sports and Rec centre from 10am until 2pm. Each session runs for about 30 minutes with an optional 30 minutes of free play afterwards.

These sessions are designed to motivate and educate participants by giving them a practical understanding of what it is like to live with physical disability.

Sessions are open to all Murdoch students and staff. To take part, register online.

Wheelchair Challenge

Throughout September, in support of Murdoch University’s partnership with ReboundWA, several Murdoch employees – including Interim Vice Chancellor Romy Lawson – will be participating in the Wheelchair Challenge.

The event challenges people to spend just one day of their life in a wheelchair to raise awareness of the daily issues of accessibility that are encountered by people with a physical disability and support ReboundWA’s mission to provide as many young physically disabled kids in Western Australia with the opportunity to enjoy active community sports.
