Our first Lunch and learn is a design challenge inspired by Murdoch senior leadership’s commitment to ‘Race to Zero’, a United Nations initiative that encourages private and local entities to work towards the goal of carbon neutrality.
As a design challenge, the Murdoch community is tasked with a wicked question: Can we become the first carbon-neutral university in Western Australia?
Everyone is welcome regardless of their course of study, professional background or level of understanding and we will provide a step-by-step framework to tackle the issue – breaking down what, where, how and why carbon is emitted.
We have also assembled an all-female judging panel, aligning the timing of the event with the theme of International Women’s Day 2022: ‘Equality today for a sustainable tomorrow'.
Don’t forget to bring your lunch, register attendance and follow social measures to keep your community safe.
Subscribe to Launchpad’s social media and newsletter to keep up to date with this event and other ‘Lunch & Learn’ workshops.
(Note: Most of the sessions are recommended to be in-person. However, due to the uncertainty entailed with COVID-19 developments in WA, flexibility is key as we’re experimenting with hybrid and virtual delivery of the program).
