Published: 15th March 2022

Bike Month is Western Australia’s annual celebration of bike riding, encouraging people of all ages, abilities and fitness to ride bikes for transport, fun and to promote a healthier lifestyle.

Murdoch University, in partnership with the City of Melville, is pleased to offer some free biking events for staff and students.

To further support bike riders, we have many facilities available here on campus. You can utilise the bike racks around the university or use the free bike compounds; just get a PIN from the Student Centre and BYO lock. The bike compound behind the Student Centre even has power points to recharge your electric bike.

Showers are located all over campus too, including the Sport and Rec Centre, the toilets on the west side of Bush Court, and in the Amenities Building 490. These are free to use, remember to bring along your own towel.

You can even plan a safe, easy or challenging cycling route by visiting Bicycle Network or using apps such as Map My Ride.

So, what are you waiting for! With so many great events and resources there’s really no excuse. Round up your team mates and Uni friends and register today!

Please remember to follow current WA COVID health guidelines when attending any University events.
