ACL injuries are a major issue for sporting teams. We are looking to recuit participants to help develop a screening test to identify at risk individuals.
To participate in this research study, you must:
• Aged between 18 – 40 years.
• Required to have engaged in team sports that involved drop jumps landing techniques (single-leg and double-leg) during training and competitions for at least 6 months (i.e., Australian Football, Basketball, Football, Handball, Hockey, Netball, Rugby Union and Volleyball).
• Free from current whole-body musculoskeletal injuries and any neurological medical conditions affecting body balance.
Participation in this study involves:
• 3 Testing sessions (first two sessions in Day 1 and Session 3 after a week: each session will last about 1 hour and total time commitment of 3 hours).
• 12 Jumps in total, including 3 Jumps of four Drop jump landing tasks from a 30-cm high box: dominant leg, non-dominant leg, cognitive loading drill with double-leg and double-leg.
Where: Performance Laboratory at Murdoch University.
