The Murdoch heat of the 2022 Soroptimist International Western Australia Public Speaking Competition will be held on May 2022 (applications close 27 April).

The competition is open to any women currently enrolled at a university in Western Australia. Competitors are required to present a 4-6 minute speech on a selected topic related to the empowerment and enablement of women and girls. Heats will be held at metropolitan universities during April and May with the winner of each heat receiving a prize of $250. The grand final will be held on 22 May 2022 where the heat winners will compete for a prize of $500.
