From 12.01am on Friday, 29 April the following will apply:
- Indoor capacity limits are lifted (including the two square metre rule).
- Masks are not required indoors on campus. However, if you wish to wear a mask you are welcome to do so. Masks are still needed on public transport (including ride-share services), in hospitals, aged care facilities and airports.
- WA's G2G pass system will discontinue, allowing free travel into the state.
- Proof of vaccination requirement for entering venues is removed.
- Mandatory workplace vaccination requirements will remain in place.
- There will be new protocols for close contacts who are asymptomatic.
Despite changes to capacity limits, all timetabled learning and teaching activities and room allocations will remain unchanged for the rest of this semester.
When undertaking placements as part of your studies, you must continue to comply with applicable mandatory vaccination requirements. This means if you are undertaking a University placement at a premise or location where the WA Government has mandated COVID-19 vaccination for workers, you must be fully vaccinated prior to placement.
While the Government has lifted the mask requirement for most venues, you are encouraged to wear a mask on campus, particularly when attending classes, labs and seminars, or when physical distancing is not possible. To provide protection for yourself and others, masks will be compulsory for the Murdoch University Medical Service.
The health and safety of everyone in our Murdoch University community is our number one priority. You can do your part to minimise the spread of COVID-19 by practicing good hygiene and maintaining physical distance as you move around campus.
As always, if you feel unwell do not come to campus – stay home and get tested.
Should you test positive for COVID-19, it is important you let your unit coordinator know as soon as possible and complete the COVID-19 Case Report Form. They will work with you to develop an alternate plan to ensure you are able to complete your studies.
