MUEnSA recycling program

Published: 8th September 2022

What do plastic bottle lids, takeaway coffee cups, and soft plastics have in common? None of them can be recycled in your yellow-lid council bin, but instead you can drop them off at the MUEnSA Market Daze stall!

MUEnSA recycling program 630x380

Murdoch University Environmental Science Association (MUEnSA) collects soft plastics, plastic bottle lids, and takeaway coffee cups at their Market Daze stall, as these are all items that cannot be put in the local council recycling bins. Instead of letting them go to landfill, they take them to the various drop-off points for private recycling programs such as Redcycle, Containers for Change, and Simply Cups.

MUEnSA aims to encourage the Murdoch University community to save these items in their homes or after events, and drop them off at their stall on Thursdays throughout the semester. They also wish to educate students and staff about what can and cannot be put in the council recycling bins.

Start saving the above items and bring them to Bush Court on Thursdays from 10am-2pm. MUEnSA will take them to the designated recycling collection points, saving you the hassle and reducing landfill at the same time!
