  • Domestic and onshore International students graduating in 2023 or beyond

How do I get a USI?

You only need your ID and a few minutes to spare. Get your USI now at

Already have a USI?

If you already have a USI but can’t remember what it is, go to  There you will be able to search for your USI using your contact details.

Where do I record my USI at Murdoch?

Register your USI with Murdoch by going to MyInfo and,

  • Selecting USI Verification under Personal Details menu item, or
  • Going to the Self-enrolment Steps and choosing step 3 USI Verification

Why is my USI not verifying?

Your details need to match across MyInfo and the USI Registry. If your USI is not verifying, one or more of the below do not match:

  • First/Given name
  • Family name
  • Single name (if you only have one name)
  • Unique Student Identifier
  • Date of Birth

You will need to update your details at either Murdoch via MyAnswers or at the USI Registry.

What happens if I don’t provide my USI?

If you are a domestic student you will not be able to enrol without a verified USI. If you have already been enrolled and are accessing financial assistance or hold a Commonwealth Supported Place, and you have not provided your USI by your census date, your enrolment will be cancelled.

If you are an onshore international student, you will need your USI to graduate.
