Murdoch University's Perth campus is a wildlife haven in the midst of suburbia, and you have a chance to make a big contribution to provide more roosting, hiding and feeding habitat for endangered black cockatoos, quendas, and many species of small birds and animals too.

Tree planting 630x380

For the first of our winter tree planting events on campus, we have 3,500 native seedlings selected for our Wildlife Corridor, a vital habitat link between the campus Chelodina Wetland and Banksia Woodland reserves.

Consider getting a few colleagues together and enjoy some time in nature. We'll provide tools, training and a morning snack!

When

  • Friday, 26 May 2023 (9:00 am – 1:00 pm)

What to bring

Wear enclosed shoes and dress for the weather in clothes you don't mind getting a little dirty. Bring your own water bottle.

Where to meet

Chelodina Bushland is accessed across from car park 7. Look for the white MERG flag at the entrance to the Chelodina bushland, and follow the signs to our planting site, a pleasant 200m walk from the car park. Come for as long or as little as you can manage.
