Western Australia is home to more than 800 known species of intriguing arachnids, each with their own complex physiologies, behaviors and habitats. WA is also home to some of the world's leading arachnid taxonomists, Dr Volker Framenau and Dr Pedro Castanaheira, invertebrate zoologists from Murdoch University's Harry Butler Institute.
Join Dr Framenau, Dr Castanaheira and a cluster of engaging local and international speakers from the arachnology community for the first colloquium of its kind in Western Australia, as we shed light on a range of interesting topics and developments, and exchange ideas to foster networking and collaboration.
This event will serve as a platform for arachnologists, students, and all attendees to share their research methods and the latest research findings in diverse areas like taxonomy, systematics, ecology, physiology, and behavior.
