Open Night: 2024 Accelerated Masters with Training

Date: 17 OCT 2023 Time: 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM Location: Kim Beazley Lecture Theatre Website: Register Add to Calendar:

The Graduate Research Office will be holding an open night about the Accelerated Research Masters with Training (aRMT) on Tuesday, 17th October at the Kim Beazley Lecture Theatre (351.1.001).

About the aRMT Program:

The aRMT is a one-year (36 credit point) research degree that provides additional choice to students who want to continue their education in research as a pathway to PhD or to upskill for the next stage of their careers. The course includes a 12 credit points (four units) of research training and 24 points of research; all delivered using a trimester-based system, commencing in January 2024.

At the completion of the course, you will have a globally recognised postgraduate degree and will have the necessary qualification and skillset to apply for Doctoral studies or embark on other career pathways. The aRMT also forms the cornerstone of the Murdoch University Global Challenges initiative in which, during the initial trimester, you will work collaboratively with other aRMT students to tackle some of the United National identified Global Challenges by working collectively and bringing your specific disciplinary skills to tackling one of the world’s wicked problems.

The cost of the aRMT is dependent on residence status. Domestic students will pay no fees as this degree is offset by the Federal Government Research Training Program (RTP). International students should contact the Graduate Research School for more information

Open Night:

The night will involve a presentation from the Dean of Graduate Studies Associate Professor Jeremiah Peiffer, Head of Graduate Research Training and Education Associate Professor Belinda Brown, and current aRMT students.
