The Keith Roby Memorial Lecture in Community Science is an annual, free public science lecture made possible by the generous support of donors. It was established in memory of Murdoch University founding member Dr Keith Roby, who believed science could make a major contribution towards resolving contemporary issues such as the dilemmas surrounding the environment, energy, resources, and genetic engineering.
2023 Roby Lecture distinguished speaker, Dr Christine Ledger, will present 'Sustainability, Creativity and the Human Vocation'. The lecture will explore the question ‘How are human communities to express their creativity, effectively and compassionately, in a world in crisis?’ This is a question for all of us. Dr Ledger will primarily use the lenses of theology and history, drawing upon her PhD research Towards a Theology of Technology, to address it.
Join us at Murdoch University for this free public lecture, followed by refreshments at Club Murdoch.
