About our speaker
Anna J. Carr graduated with a PhD from Murdoch University in 2005. For the last 17 years she has been working in the Netherlands in photovoltaics research, first at ECN (the Energy Research Centre of the Netherlands), then in 2018 ECN joined with TNO, where she still works. Anna is visiting Australia to attend the IEA PVPS all Task meetings in Adelaide in October. Her area within PVPS is Task 17 - PV for Transport.
About the presentation
In her talk, Anna will introduce TNO, and then share what her department at Solar Energy (in the unit Energy and Materials Transition) are busy with - giving a few highlights of their work. She will then introduce Vehicle Integrated PV and the work currently underway in this field at TNO, sharing some calculations and examples of what VIPV might bring to electric mobility, in terms of range extension, autonomy, solar kilometres, CO2 savings and cost savings.
