Come help clean up the beautiful and wild Jervoise Bay dog beach, Jervoise Bay jetty, and the cycle path that runs between Woodman Point Road and the beach. Last year Murdoch University and community volunteers collected over 150kgs of various types of rubbish from this site, everything from cigarette butts and fishing line, drink containers to washing machine frames and discarded tyres.
PLUS, join in a microplastics audit with AUSMAP- the Australian Microplastics Assessment Project.
Meet us near the gate of Cockburn Power Boat club, Jervoise Bay Cove, Coogee. Alternatively, you can reserve a seat on the MU bus departing from the South Street campus at 8:30 am and returning at 2 pm on 3 March by emailing sustainability@murdoch.edu.au.
Registration is essential, and we'll provide a FREE, healthy lunch to thank you for your efforts!
Dress for the weather, bring your own drink bottle, and wear enclosed shoes. We'll take care of the rest!
