If you are choosing general electives for your undergraduate course, you need to make sure you do not enrol in Level 100 units if you have already completed, or will be completing, 30 credit points of level 100 units across the other components of your course. This is part of Murdoch’s Coursework Regulations.
After the 15 April 2024 a rule check to safeguard you from enrolling in excessive level 100 units will be implemented. This means some of your level 100 units for future teaching periods such as Semester 2 or Winter may change from “enrolled” to “invalid”. You will stay enrolled in any units for teaching periods that have already passed the census date.
If this occurs, don’t panic. We are just warning you that you have already completed 30pts of level 100 units. You may still be able to enrol in the unit.
If you receive an Excessive Level 100 Warning for an enrolment:
- You can enrol in the unit if it is a requirement for your:
- Course Core
- Spine
- Primary Major
- Second Major, Co-major or Minor
- You cannot enrol in the unit if you are using it as a general elective.
How can I get my unit validated?
If, after the 15 April 2024 you have received an Excessive Level 100 Warning for one of your units, you can complete the Excessive Level 100 Warning Declaration form online. The Enrolments team will then check your course structure and validate the unit if required.
We recommend you do this as soon as possible to give yourself ample time to adjust any of your enrolments before class sign up opens for the second half of 2024.
