Please note that Murdoch University will be closed on all Western Australian public holidays, including WA Day on 3 June and the King’s Birthday on 23 September.
This decision comes following recent change in legislation, with the aim of providing students and staff with the opportunity to enjoy quality time with friends and family or engage in personal activities. We believe this decision will also alleviate any challenges related to transportation and childcare that students may face on public holidays.
During these public holidays, please be aware that library services and other campus facilities may not be available. Additionally, some student support services may have limited availability or be closed entirely. We encourage you to plan accordingly and make any necessary arrangements in advance.
It's important to note that there will be changes to teaching activities scheduled for Monday, 3 June, 2024, and Monday, 23 September, 2024. Your Unit Coordinator will communicate any alternative arrangements for these activities. Options may include completing activities at your own pace through the LMS or attending an alternative class or workshop.
If you have any questions or concerns about these changes, please reach out to your Unit Coordinator.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
