Generative AI, and in particular Large Language Models, are at the peak of the hype cycle at the moment. The history of AI is littered with springs that turn to winter, is there any reason to think that this is any different? Join us for a thought-provoking session where we'll challenge the status quo, make bold predictions, and debate the future of AI.

About Professor Parry

With a history in software development and a passion for eHealth and human-computer interaction, Professor Parry's insights are not to be missed. Whether you're here to agree or disagree, this event promises to ignite a lively discussion on the trajectory of artificial intelligence.

Dave Parry is a professor and Dean of the School of IT at Murdoch University. Previously, he was a software developer and medical physicist in the UK and New Zealand. He became an academic early this century and developed an interest in eHealth, AI and Information retrieval and human-computer interaction. His inaccurate predictions about the future include teaching Flash as the multiplatform language of the future in the early 2000s.
