Libraries
Geoffrey Bolton Library
The Geoffrey Bolton Library will be closing at 5pm on Saturday, 20 December and reopening at 8am on Monday, 5 January 2026. The 24/7 Learning Common space will close at 11:59pm on Tuesday, 23 December and reopen at 12am on Friday, 2 January 2026.
Mandurah Library
The Mandurah Library will be closing at 4pm on Friday, 19 December and reopening at 8am on Monday, 5 January 2026.
Veterinary Science Library
The Veterinary Science Library will be closing at 6pm on Friday, 19 December and reopening at 7am on Monday, 5 January 2026. During this time, 24/7 swipe access to vet students and staff will be available.
Murdoch Active
Our sports and recreational facilities will remain open as usual on Christmas Eve (Wednesday, 24 December). From Thursday, 25 December 2025, the facilities will be closed and will reopen on Monday, 5 January 2026. During this closure period, members with 24/7 access may continue to use the gym at their convenience. However, there will be no staff on-site, and access to the courts, recreational areas, and esports facilities will not be available.

Murdoch University Medical Service
The Murdoch University Medical Service will be closed from Friday, 12 December 2025 and is anticipated to reopen on Monday, 12 January 2026. During this period, the clinic will not be accessible as staff will be packing and relocating the service. These dates may shift slightly depending on contractor timelines. For health and wellbeing support while we’re closed, please refer to the ‘Where Else to Go’ poster for alternative options.
The Medical Service is relocating during the LSP this year. They will be closed from Friday, 12 December 2025 to Monday, 12 January 2026, including the closure of all nurse-led support services. Find out more about the move here.
Murdoch University Afterhours Wellbeing Line
The free, confidential phone service for students needing mental health support outside of business hours. Will be available to call 1300 806 852 24 hours a day throughout the Limited Service Period. The line offers immediate emotional support and can connect you to on-campus services when they re-open in January
Counselling Service
The Counselling Service will have their last appointments on Friday, 19 December and will reopen to clients from Monday, 12 January 2026. From 5-9 January the team will be preparing for the new year, but will be available by phone (9360 1227) or in person (just knock on their door in Building 440).
Access and Inclusion Office
The Access and Inclusion Office will be closed from the end of day on Thursday, 18 December and will reopen on Wednesday, 7 January 2026. Appointments will be available starting Monday, 12 January 2026.
Student Services
The teams from Meet Murdoch and Student Central will be available over the Limited Service Period, but with modified hours:
Meet Murdoch
The Meet Murdoch team will be working the below times over the Limited Service Period:
- Saturday, 20 December: 9am-5pm
- Sunday, 21 December: CLOSED
- 22-23 December (Monday-Tuesday): 8:30am-5:30pm
- Wednesday, 24 December: 8:30am-4pm
- 25-26 December (Thursday-Friday): CLOSED
- 29-30 December (Monday-Tuesday): 8:30am-5:30pm
- Wednesday, 31 December: 8:30am-4pm
- Thursday, 1 January: CLOSED
- Friday, 2 January: 8:30am-12pm
Normal hours will resume on Monday, 5 January (8:30am-5:30pm).
Student Central (including Mandurah)
The Student Central team will be working over the Limited Service Period. Please note, the team will not be available in person but can be contacted by phone, email and live chat at the below times:
- 22-24 (Monday-Wednesday) December: 8:30am-4:30pm
- 25-26 December (Thursday-Friday): CLOSED
- 29-31 (Monday-Wednesday) December: 8:30am-4:30pm
- Thursday, 1 January: CLOSED
- Friday, 2 January: 8:30-4:30
Mandurah students can still email us as usual. If you need to call, please phone the 1300 MURDOCH line instead of the Mandurah reception.
Normal hours, and on-campus operations, will resume on Monday, 5 January (8:30am-4:30pm).
MyMurdoch Advice
Our Student Success Advisors and the Specialists will have reduced availability. From 22 December 2025 to 5 January 2026, team members will be available online only, assisting with phone calls and email inquiries from 8:30am to 4:30pm daily, excluding weekends and public holidays.
Normal face-to-face services will resume on Monday, 5 January (8:30am - 4:30pm).
