Free influenza vaccines for students

Published: 30th April 2026

As the cooler months approach, it’s important to prioritise your health. Receiving the annual influenza vaccination is one of the most effective ways to safeguard your health and that of others around you. Not only will it significantly reduce your risk of contracting the flu, but if you do contract it after vaccination, the illness is often less severe.

This year, the Department of Health recommends getting your influenza vaccination in May and June. The Murdoch University Medical Service is making this easier than ever with dedicated influenza clinics starting from May 4 to May 31.

Booking your appointment

Dedicated, flu vaccine-only appointments are available from 8:30 am to 9:30 am, Monday to Friday, for both students and staff.

Bookings can be made online through the Flu Vaccine Clinic, or through the MU Medical Service by selecting the ‘Flu Vaccine Clinic’ option.

Flu vaccines can be administered as part of a standard appointment, booked via the MU Medical Service. However, if you only require the flu vaccine, please use the dedicated appointments.

Appointments are bulk-billed and the vaccine is free, meaning no out-of-pocket costs.

New clinic location

Please note that the Murdoch University Medical Service has moved to Building 390, near Discovery Way and the Chiropractic Clinic.

Clinic access with respiratory symptoms

To minimise the risk of transmission of respiratory illnesses to others, we ask that if you are experiencing any symptoms of respiratory illness, such as fever, cough, sore throat, or runny nose, that you please call Murdoch University Medical Service for advice before your appointment.
