Reminder: Middle East Travel
Travel to, including transit through, any location with a DFAT Smartraveller advice level of "Do Not Travel" or "Reconsider Your Need to Travel" is not permitted without SLT member approval. This applies to all Murdoch University travellers and currently includes, but is not limited to, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar.
Future travel via these destinations may still be booked; however, departures will remain subject to DFAT Smartraveller advice at the time of travel. Travellers should also be aware that insurance coverage will not apply for delays, cancellations, or safety-related incidents associated with travel involving transit through the Middle East.
For travel later in the year that must be booked now, Murdoch University recommends selecting flexible airfares and refundable accommodation where possible.
