Globally, H5 bird flu remains one of the most serious diseases affecting poultry and wildlife, including mammals.
It is yet to spread on the WA mainland, but is having a serious impact on wildlife and the people who work with wildlife in the eastern states of Australia. This gives us a rare opportunity to learn from other states and prepare before it arrives.
This event is for everyone. If you study on campus, work here, handle animals or samples, do fieldwork, or simply see birds in your backyard, H5 bird flu is relevant to you.
