Christine Milne is a Senator for Tasmania and Leader of the Australian Greens and is visting Murdoch University, South St campus to deliver a talk on Australia the Innovation Nation – The Critical Role of Higher Education.


Australia’s universities are the powerhouse of cultural, political and economic innovation.  In this rapidly changing world in which we must adapt to a changing climate, increasing population and a globally connected community; we will depend on the innovation and excellence from our education sector if we are to remain resilient and create a sustainable future. The Greens believe that a well funded, affordable and quality higher education sector is the key to growing Australia's future economic prosperity and it will aid us in the Green boom that is currently underway.

This is a public lecture for staff and students to attend.  Please feel free to circulate to friends and colleagues.
