Respect. Now. Always. survey and campaign is now open at Murdoch

posted 20 September 2016 | Student Announcement (student)

Murdoch is currently participating in the Respect.Now.Always. survey which is being run by the Human Rights Commission and Universities Australia. Check you inbox to see if you have been randomly selected for the survey. Read on for more information.

Over the past year we have heard a great deal about sexual assault and sexual harassment experienced by students at Australian universities. This issue affects all Australian university students regardless of their gender, ethnicity or the university at which they are studying.

The Vice-Chancellors of all 39 Australian universities have asked the Australian Human Rights Commission to investigate the nature and scale of this problem. An important part of this work is a national survey of university students, conducted for the Commission by Roy Morgan Research. The survey is a critical part of the university sector’s Respect. Now. Always. campaign that aims to prevent and address these unacceptable behaviours and keep university students safe.

If you feel distress at any time during or after participating in this survey, support is available by calling 1800RESPECT (1800 737 732), or Murdoch Counselling Service, South Street Campus:  9360 1227, or Mandurah Campus:  9582 5501
