Exercise training & Type 2 diabetes - Research study

posted 25 October 2016 | Student Announcement (student)

We are investigating the effect of exercise on glucose control in individuals with type 2 diabetes. Here's your opportunity to get motivated for the summer and to change your lifestyle!

Regular exercise is key in managing high blood glucose levels in type 2 diabetes causing your body to be more sensitive to insulin, becoming more efficient.

We are investigating the effectiveness of two modes of exercise on general health outcomes (fitness and body composition) and also those related to Type 2 Diabetes (glucose tolerance and immune function).

If you are between the age of 18-60 years old, have a Body Mass Index (BMI) of greater than 27 and not involved in regular exercise, you may be eligible to participate in this study (additional inclusion and exclusion criteria may apply).
