Students as Change Agents in Learning and Teaching
posted 28 March 2017 | Student Announcement (student)
The DVC(E) Professor Romy Lawson is pleased to announce a new Murdoch University initiative: Students as Change Agents in Learning and Teaching (SCALT). This ‘students as partners’ program empowers students to lead change in learning and teaching practice at Murdoch.
Student Change Agents will lead a project of their choice that explores innovative solutions to create change in learning and teaching practice at Murdoch. Five projects have commenced in Semester 1, 2017.
Students will be mentored by staff from across the university, including the Centre for University Teaching and Learning (CUTL), School of Law, Careers and Employment, Curriculum and Academic Policy, Guild of Students and Murdoch University Health.
Change Agents will be funded to disseminate their work by presenting the outcomes of their project at Australian based learning and teaching events.
A SCALT Program launch and networking event will be held for participants and their mentors on Wednesday 22 March. Other interested staff and students are welcome, numbers permitting. For more details please email Denyse MacNish D.Macnish@murdoch.edu.au
