Please join the Alumni Relations team on Thursday 14th September from midday to 1pm on Bush Court, where you will receive a special favour to celebrate our namesakes birthday.

The Alumni Relations team will be handing out cake from 12pm - 1pm on Thursday 14th September on Upper Bush Court to celebrate what would be Sir Walter Murdoch's 143rd Birthday and we would like you all to join in on this special celebration.

Sir Walter Logie Forbes Murdoch was a popular essayist and university professor and chancellor, born on 17th September 1874. When the Premier Sir Charles Court advised Sir Walter Murdoch that the WA State Governement was to name its second university after him, he responded with "it had better be a good one!"
