Lift in Education and Humanities (Building 450)

The lift in Building 450 (Education and Humanities) is currently out of service

Unfortunately there is a need to replace the liftdrive in order to rectify the issue, and this will require a lead time to procure and install the required parts. PDCSO is in the process of planning rectification with the relevant manufacturer.

At this stage, the lift will be unavailable for a few more weeks. PDCSO will advise precise details once known.

There is no lift redundancy in building 450, so people who are unable to use stairs to access the upper floors (levels 3 and 4) will not be able to access the space during this period.

Level 1 classrooms may be accessible via the outside doors. Please alert the relevant area, as indicated below, of any staff or students that are unable to access level 1 via the stairs, so access can be arranged.

• PDCSO will continue to update affected areas as once the rectification date is set and as works progress and apologises for inconvenience caused by this extended outage, and will endeavour to assist those affected wherever possible.
