Lend a green thumb at the inter-university volunteer day! Date: 10th August 2013 Time: 09:45 AM - 12:00 PM Location: Lake Claremont (arrive at the south end of Strickland St, Swanbourne) As part of National Student Volunteer Week, the first ever inter-university volunteer day is happening on Saturday the 10th of August. 100 students from Murdoch, UWA, Curtin, ECU and Notre Dame will be coming together to help revegetate an area of reclaimed land around Lake Claremont. The site was formerly part rubbish dump, part golf course. The event will run from 9:45am to 12pm and be followed by a free BBQ. It should be a great morning of dirty knees, lending a hand and showing that university students do more than just sleep off hang overs on a Saturday morning.
