Free Crucial Conversations Workshop for Guild Members This workshop aims to equip students to have difficult conversations with care and minimize negative conflict. The session is part of a set of professional and personal development seminars for Murdoch students. Each seminar aims to develop generalist and career-relevant skills needed in professional life that students might not get from their typical studies. Each seminar is free for Guild members and $14.95 for non-members. Other topics include area: Learning to Lead: This session introduces and discusses the fundamentals of leadership. Participants can expect to learn skills and concepts that are applicable to one’s professional and personal life. Fostering Teamwork: This seminar introduces key leadership skills for working in a team. Participants will learn about the role they play as an individual operating in a team setting and how they can foster the team’s performance. Building Resilience: This seminar focuses on preparing participants to recover from setbacks and deal with a crisis. Participants can expect to learn about practical strategies to apply and use during difficult times. Seminars are held on Murdoch’s South St campus and typically run at the end of the day to fit with most student timetables. Further, each student will receive a certificate of participation on completion of the session.
