Start your research journey off on the right foot

Are you an Early Career Researcher or postgraduate student keen to develop your research skills? Research Week 2019 is a series of workshops and presentations designed to build and broaden your ability to conduct research. You’ll develop essential skills and knowledge and take the mystery out of the research process.

Run by the University Library, this week-long series of workshops cover every step of the research process - from building your research strategy to conducting a systematic review to and measuring impact. Other skill development opportunities include:

 - How to conduct a literature review: Discover the right approach to take and resources to use
 - Research data management: Learn why it is important and how to create your own management plan
 - Journal quality and impact: Evaluate journals and measure their impact through metrics and rankings
 - Publishing your research: Evaluate and choose a publisher and learn the different types of journal access
 - Murdoch University Research Repository: Learn what it is and how you can contribute your work
 - Copyright for researchers: Understand what your rights are as an author, how to share your work and more.
 - Measuring researcher impact: Learn how to measure impact and raise your research profile
 - and much more.

During the sessions you’ll also connect with Librarians who can provide specialist support services throughout your research journey at Murdoch.

Research Week begins Monday, 25th March at the Geoffrey Bolton Library.
