New Fieldwork Safety Procedure and Guidelines The Fieldwork Committee has developed a new Fieldwork Procedure and Fieldwork Guidelines to assist staff and students to undertake fieldwork safely whilst completing research and teaching. A new approval and authorisation process has been developed, which is associated with the level of risk of the fieldwork component. The primary approval process, in the first instance, lies with the Chief Investigator/Supervisor/Unit Coordinator, who also authorises low risk level activities. Where an activity is greater than low risk (medium, high, very high) the responsibility to authorise the fieldwork is held by relevant senior University representatives.
