Expressions of Interest are being sought from potential PhD students for the Australian Research Council (ARC) Discovery project Reconfiguring the ‘playing field’ on and off the pitch - women’s professional sport in Australia.

This is a multi-disciplinary project involving Murdoch, Victoria University and Griffith University that investigates the physical, sociocultural and organisational workplace conditions and requirements of women athletes in professional team sport. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of an important new theory of organising and managing professional sport that will articulate the place of women’s competitions and inform inclusive management strategies and policies.
