Startup Huddle is part of a program developed by the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN), and offers local entrepreneurs an opportunity to present their startups to a diverse audience of mentors, advisers, entrepreneurs, and most importantly, the community.

Startup Huddles take place all over the globe giving entrepreneurs a platform to present their business and gain validation for their idea. Murdoch University Launchpad is proud to be a part of this and host Startup Huddle for the Perth community on Wednesday 31 July 2019, 9.30am-11.30am.

What's involved?

Entrepreneurs prepare a six-minute presentation and engage in 20 minutes of feedback to gain insight into possible ways they can improve their businesses, gather real-time feedback, and connect with a community that truly cares about their progress and walk away feeling like they have advanced their business.

Why join?

The audience at Startup Huddle learns a great deal from listening to the presentations and engaging with the entrepreneurs. The culture surrounding Startup Huddle is that of a supportive, neutral space, welcoming Entrepreneurs to be open and honest about their businesses and the challenges they face.

Join us!

Who is presenting at thr Startup Huddle?

Paul Prior - Participa8

Participa8 is designed to support junior sporting coaches keeping kids involved in junior sport. Participa8 allows coaches to assess, track and accurately communicate with players to provide holistic, player-centred development.

Coaches can keep players engaged in their skill development by tracking player progress and providing specific feedback to all players.

Participa8 player profiles are generated at the end of the season and feature a comment section, for the coach to provide a personal message of congratulations and to set a goal for the following season.

Participa8 has partnered with the sports science team at UWA to measure and assess it’s impact on participation and to suggest future iterations to maximise this effect.

Damien Heffernan - EclipZ SunscreenR

EclipZ SunscreenR - application of sunscreen made easy!

EclipZ SunscreenR booths aim to provide an automated method of applying sunscreen.

Weatherproof solar powered booths, free to use by consumers placed in strategically approved positions in public and private tourist destinations.

The USP of these application booths is the unique static spray technology that allows the sunscreen to adhere 100% to any exposed skin.

The booths will be self-sufficient, applicable in any outdoor location where public gather and where UV protection is a must. Bespoke bottle designed sunscreen (to fit opening in booth) will be available to purchase from leading stores nationwide and from local operators.

This business model will create a unique opportunity for partnered/licenced organic sunscreen manufactures to expose their brand and potentially capture a large market segment.
