Nyungar Native Title Forum Date: 15th October 2013 Time: 12:00 PM - 13:00 PM Location: Kulbardi Aboriginal Centre, Amenities Bldg Room 2.019 Kulbardi Aboriginal Centre is hosting a community engagement event at Murdoch University In February 2013, the Western Australian Government proposed a $1.3 billion native title deal to settle claims over Perth and the South-West region. The Nyungar native title claim, originally upheld in 2006, was overturned on appeal leading to a stalemate between claimant groups and the State government. In this forum, the South-West Aboriginal Land and Sea Council and the Nyungar Tent Embassy will put their respective arguments forward before the deal is put to a vote in 2014. Come and hear about the proposed Nyungar Native Title Settlement agreement before the vote in 2014.
