In Australia, influenza is a major public health issue, responsible for more than 3,400 deaths and costing our health system $115 million.

Although Australian guidelines recommend all student healthcare workers get an annual flu shot, the rates of vaccination are not as high as they could be.

Murdoch has teamed up with the Uni of Notre Dame Australia to investigate the effectiveness of a range of strategies aimed at increasing influenza vaccination uptake among student healthcare workers, and we need your help!

We’re seeking Nursing, Chiropractic and Counselling students to be research champions and promote the flu vaccine study to fellow students at Murdoch University. This is a great opportunity to be a part of a multi-disciplinary team, build your research CV and make a difference to the student healthcare community.
