The Murdoch University Student Leadership Awards reward and recognise students who have demonstrated exceptional leadership that has a significant and positive impact on the University and wider community.

Through the development of the award, we interviewed Murdoch University Leadership and Distinguished Alumni who have excelled in their fields, and as a result identified leadership capabilities that are unique and relevant to the University community.

We have built the award around these leadership capabilities, with the purpose of inspiring, encouraging and rewarding the future generation of Murdoch University Leaders.

Each year, one student will be awarded the honour of Student Leader of the Year, while up to five students will be recognised with a Student Leadership Excellence Award.

The award prizes:

• The Student Leader of the Year recipient will receive a $2,000 scholarship/cash prize
• Each Student Leadership Excellence Award recipient will receive a $500 scholarship/cash prize
• All award recipients will be invited to an award ceremony to be announced at a later date.
