A census date is the last date that you can withdraw from a unit within a particular teaching period without incurring fees, or having the unit appear on your academic transcript.

It is also when the Commonwealth notice for fees is finalised for domestic students, meaning it is the final date to make payment or complete a Commonwealth Assistance Form to defer your fees to a HECS-HELP or FEE-HELP loan (if you are eligible).

You can view the census date for each teaching period on the online Handbook.

If you study cross-institutionally, you need to familiarise yourself with the host university's census dates.

International students need to refer to the refund conditions provided with their offer letter for more information on fees.

If you would like more information about census date, please contact The Student Centre on 1300 687 3624 or email studentcentre@murdoch.edu.au, 8:30am - 4:30pm weekdays (9:30am on Thursdays for general enquiries) (Perth time).
