The purpose of the CIVIC-MIND study is to understand the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on mental health, wellbeing and lifestyle activities of tertiary students and staff.

The project was developed by a group of health and education researchers from the five Western Australian universities, as part of the WA Mental Health COVID Research Group (WAMH CoRG).

Students and staff are encouraged to take part and help shape this important research.

The questionnaire will help researchers understand how people have been impacted in both positive and negative ways, and will better inform the design of programs to support the transition out of the pandemic, and future health practices in times of outbreaks.

This survey should take no longer than 20-30 minutes. If you agree, follow up surveys will be provided at regular intervals to track factors that may impact on mental health over time.

All responses will be strictly confidential.

If you have any issues accessing the survey, please contact a member of the study team on 1800 971 022 (choose option 1) or email civic@curtin.edu.au with the subject heading 'CIVIC-MIND'.

Curtin University Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) has approved this study (HRE2020-0153). Reciprocal ethics have been approved by The University of Western Australia (RA/4/20/6285); University of Notre Dame Australia (2020-115F); Edith Cowan University (2020-01665-CRUICKSHANK) and Murdoch University (2020/116).
