If yes, we invite you to participate in our 8-week Psychological Intervention that is being delivered for free as part of a doctoral research project.

The doctoral research project is titled “Exploring the Effectiveness of a Psychological Intervention for Individuals who have experienced a Negative Life Event that may have had a Traumatic Effect".

The program is open to all individuals in Perth aged 18-39 years.

The study consists of two phases. In the first phase, you will be contacted for a brief interview, to assess if the study and psychological intervention will be appropriate for you.

The second phase involves participating in an 8-week psychological intervention at the Murdoch Psychology Clinic at Murdoch's South St Campus, where you will be taught skills and strategies that may help you manage the stress associated with past negative life events.

This 8-week program is being offered free of charge, and participants will be reimbursed with up to $20 in Coles gift vouchers for their time.

If you are interested in the study, please send an email to MindWiseResearch@murdoch.edu.au, or send a text message to 0434 663 202.

Recruitment will be ongoing until mid-April 2021.

This study has been approved by Murdoch University Research Ethics (2018/077).
