The excavator will be guided onto site by an experienced traffic management team. The works have been staged to minimise disruption, and we ask all staff and students to be mindful of traffic control measures in place.

As previously communicated, every precaution will be taken to minimise noise, dust and vibration impacts during the demolition works, which are scheduled to commence on Monday, 1 March.

During the original site assessment, hazardous materials including asbestos were identified. The materials will be removed in accordance with a detailed environmental management plan and Demolition Permit approved by the City of Melville.

Signage indicating the presence of hazardous materials will be affixed to the site fencing. Removal and disposal of any asbestos products will be undertaken safely, with appropriate controls in place, by a Worksafe licensed asbestos removalist.
