  Three-time winner of the prestigious Arthur C Clarke Award, and two time winner of the British Fantasy Award, China Mieville, will answer all your questions at an informal Q&A session on Thursday 21 February, 11:30am to 12:30pm, in Education and Humanities 2.021. China, whose work has drawn comparisons with the works of Kafka and Orwell, describes his style as ‘weird fiction’ (within the wider genre of ‘New Weird’).

  Changes to Calculator Use in Exams - Effective Semester 1 2013
  The Exams Office has changed the categories and descriptions of calculators used in exams effective from Semester 1 2013. This follows a recommendation from the Exams and Assessments Working Party of Academic Council, and a subsequent review by a group consisting of Marian Kemp, Student Life and Learning, Barry Kissane from the School of Education and Doug Fletcher from School of Engineering and Information Technology.
