  Reprint of Murdoch’s Principal Dates Wall Calendar
  The updated 2013 Murdoch principal dates wall calendar will be available from 1st Feb 2013. The previous version shows the Semester 2 assessment period dates being November 11-29. The correct dates for the assessment period is November 9-22. People who have already purchased a calendar can trade in their old ones for a new one at the Bookshop and Copy Centre.

  Printed 2013 campus maps – last chance to order!
  The 2013 print edition of the South Street, Peel and Rockingham campus maps will be available soon in a new easier to use format. Orders (with account code) must be received by Wednesday 23 January.

  Educational Development has developed five online modules (which include activity books, videos and quizzes) to assist students in their preparation for a work placement.

  Bike Compound PIN Code Changing February 4th
  The Personal Identification Number (PIN) on the South Street campus’ three secure bike compounds will be changed on 4 February. Apply for the new PIN at the Student Centre now and beat the O-Week rush! Use of the bike compounds is FREE for all students and staff.

  Personal Bike Lockers Available for Hire
  Personal Bike Lockers are now available for hire by the semester at Murdoch’s 3 campuses. Lockers are secure and provide enough space for your bicycle as well as hanging space for gear. Apply at the Student Centre at the campus where you wish to hire your locker now and beat the O-Week rush!

  Vice Chancellor’s Citations for Excellence in Enhancing Learning
  The VC's Citations recognise and reward the diverse contributions that individuals and teams make to the quality of student learning over a sustained period at Murdoch. An information session and writing workshop for the 2013 Citations will be held on Tuesday 29 January from 9:30-12:00pm.

  New Graduate Research Degree Regulations
  At its meeting of 3rd October 2012, Senate approved the Graduate Research Degree Regulations (S/22/2012) with an effective date of 1 January 2013. The focus of the new Regulations is to improve the quality of the research training experience and to provide timely and high quality graduate research degree completions.

  Sir Walter Murdoch Adjunct Professorial and Distinguished Collaborator Programs
  The schemes have been developed to help foster research excellence, increase research income and to further develop our international research profile. Nominations should have international research reputation in publications and a demonstrated record in winning competitive research funds and are expected to come from an international university ranked in the top 200 as indicated by the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) or the THES ranking system.

  New Lecture Capture System (LCS) Launched
  A new Lecture Capture System (LCS) has replaced Lectopia for recording lectures in 2013 and making them available to staff and students. Requests for recordings for semester 1 need to be submitted using the form available from the LCS website (see below) by Monday 4th February 2013.
