15 May 2013LMS ECM UpdateAs the LMS project continues to move forward, training and support of the new LMS (Moodle) will be transitioned from the project team to CUTL. As of 13th May, any questions or concerns will need to be directed to CUTL via lms@murdoch.edu.au or by the LMS support webpage (http://our.murdoch.edu.au/CUTL/New-LMS/). 15 May 2013QS Reputational Survey Closes 17th May 2013.The opinion of academics worldwide is a core component of the QS Rankings. Murdoch is currently ranked equal 401 in the QS Rankings. Late last year nominations were sought for colleagues you collaborate with who may nominate Murdoch as an “outstanding” University in the QS survey. QS rankings are used by a number of overseas government agencies to confirm eligibility for Scholarships to highly ranked institutions, and are viewed by over 24,000 new visitors every month.

07 May 2013Campus Speed Limits and Wildlife ProtectionIn the past 3 weeks CFMO have retrieved several dead quendas from campus, which had unfortunately been hit by cars. The University community is reminded to watch for wildlife crossing roads and drinking from puddles, and adhere to speed limits. (Please see information below for the campus speed limits) Adhering to speed limits saves our wildlife and may save you a costly fine from Campus Security.

If you run an event you are a service provider and you will be the person responsible for making sure the event is accessible.

30 Apr 2013Textbook List Submission required today (Tuesday 30.04.13) for Semester 2 / Winter Unit 2013A common misconception is if we already have texts in stock, you do not need to place a Textbook List order - this is incorrect. If you do not advise the Bookshop of your intention to use a particular book we have in stock by the close of business today (30.04.13) we will return them to suppliers. Re-delivery can take up to 12 weeks. It is important you inform the Bookshop of your textbooks and teaching materials requirements and any other items required today to ensure they are here in time.

30 Apr 20132013 OLT Grants Round 2 (2nd August) Internal Closing Date: 23rd July 2013Internal expressions of interest are now open for Office for Learning and Teaching Seed Grants ($50,000). Seed Projects are pilot projects that test and evaluate an original idea. They are stand-alone, small-scale projects, or projects that build the capacity of early career academics. Seed projects run for a maximum of 12 months and can be single-institution projects.
