  Great Cocky Count- upcoming training
  The Great Cocky Count is an annual night roost survey of endangered black cockatoos carried out by volunteers all over the South-West. Murdoch Uni is a 'super roost', so we need lots of volunteers. Roost counts help researchers to understand how the population is faring, and how the birds use the landscape. It's easy and fun, and every survey helps conservation efforts!

  Winter native tree planting - join us!
  Murdoch’s annual native tree and shrub planting season continues on Saturday 27 June. Volunteers are needed to plant more than 1000 native seedlings and enhance the beautiful and rarely-visited Melaleuca Swamp, in the middle of the Vet Farm paddocks on campus.

  Murdoch’s annual native tree and shrub planting season kicks off on Friday 5 June, World Environment Day. Volunteers are needed to plant more than 500 native seedlings and enhance our beautiful Chelodina Wetland, just south of car park 7.

  Great Cocky Count 2015 at Murdoch University - Register NOW!
  The Great Cocky Count is on Sunday, 12 April 2015 at sunset. Volunteers are still needed for the survey on Murdoch University’s South Street campus. The Murdoch campus is a ‘Super Roost’ for the endangered Carnaby’s Black-Cockatoo and the Forest Red-Tailed Black Cockatoo. Data from the survey helps shape conservation actions on campus and in the Perth metro area.
