Balancing Books and Babies: Rockingham campus support group

Date: 28th February 2013
Time: 12:00 PM - 13:00 PM

Location: Rockingham Campus

Murdoch University Counselling Service will be running a support group for Rockingham campus students who are also parents in Semester 1, 2013.

Are you wondering how you are going to balance the demands of parenthood and study this semester? Maybe you’ve survived a couple of years of study and have a few handy tips you’ve learnt along the way? Whatever stage you’re at, this group is designed for students who are also parents of children at any age.

Meeting for four sessions on campus, Balancing Books and Babies aims to provide support for students in a relaxed group setting. Sessions will be held between 12-1pm on Thursdays, starting Week Two (28th February). Groups will consist of 6-8 students and discussion topics will include expectations of balancing parenting and study, developing a new identity, and managing boundaries.

If you are interested in this program please collect a questionnaire from the student services centre at Rockingham (9553 7070). This will need to be completed and returned to Gaynor the group co-facilitator no later than Wednesday 27th February. Your information will be kept confidential.

Places are limited so be quick!
