New Academic Staff Promotion Policy and Procedure Information Session

Professor Ann Capling, Deputy Vice Chancellor Academic and Professor David Morrison, Deputy Vice Chancellor Research, will present an information session on the new Academic Staff Promotion Policy and Procedure.


The new Academic Staff Promotion Policy and Procedure has been approved by the Vice Chancellor and was noted by Academic Council in August 2013 and will be effective from 1 January 2014.

Who Should Attend?

  • Academic Staff intending to apply for promotion in 2014 and beyond;
  • School Deans; and
  • Senior Academic Staff in leadership roles.

Please note that any application submitted up to and including the close of business 20 December 2013 will be considered under the current (2013) Policy and Procedure. Applications submitted after this date will be considered under the new (2014) Policy and Procedure.
