Several volunteers are required to survey where the Rainbow Bee-Eaters are nesting at the Murdoch Campus.  These beautiful birds are migratory and travel from Indonesia and northern Australia to nest in our soils around Campus and elsewhere.  Bring your friends and colleagues on 5 December from 9.00 am until 12.00 pm, or volunteer for as long as you can.  Meet at the Campus & Facilities Management Office (CFMO), or if you’re late or need to join us later contact Neil on 0421 412 650 to find the site.  Please wear enclosed shoes or boots.  Drinks and snacks provided.

You’ll get to discover the habitat requirements for Rainbow Bee-Eaters, enjoy some time outdoors and meet new people.  Students can register their time towards the 40 hours required for their Development Transcript (‘Environmental Management’ program) and develop skills for their résumé such as communication, team-work and leadership.

For more information or to RSVP, contact the University’s Biodiversity Grants Officer, Neil Goldsborough on 0421 412 650 or n.goldsborough@murdoch.edu.au.
