Early Career Researcher Masterclass

Date: 21st October 2014
Time: 14:00 PM - 17:00 PM

Location: South Street Campus

This masterclass involves small group coaching designed to help ECRs or post docs set a research goal (generally in the form of a publication(s)) and then work with them to make sure they achieve it.

The workshop will deal with issues on an individual and as-needed basis but is likely to cover the things that impact on publication output such as:

  • workload
  • competing demands
  • prioritising papers
  • perfectionism, overcommitting and procrastination
  • identifying the next most important step in order to make progress
  • being strategic
  • team writing and managing co-authors

Who is it for: Early career researchers or post docs who would like individualised assistance to increase their publication output.
